2012, Corte Sant'Alda, Valmezzane

Made with organically farmed grapes, this opens with aromas of violet, dark-skinned berry and new leather. The concentrated, balanced palate delivers blackberry jam, baked plum, licorice and ground black pepper. Solid but velvety tannins provide the backbone.
